Knysna

On the 23'rd of December Michelle and I left for BeachView (just outside of Port Elizabeth) to celebrate Christmas with her parents and other family, it was also the place that left me with my horrible sunburn. You see as a software developer the sun is my enemy, usually an enemy I am quite good at evading however combined with the power of beer those two make a formidable foe. Here are some pictures of our Christmas at BeachView.

Right, from there we headed over to my folks place in Port Elizabeth and spent Christmas morning with them, unfortunately I don't have any pictures of that. Then we left for Knysna and arrived there Christmas afternoon. We would spend the following 8 days on leisure isle with my brother who's wife runs a BnB (Baywalk BnB) there. Here are some pictures of our time spent in Knysna. The Knysna Waterfront

While in Knysna it came to my attention that a mate of mine from school had opened up a dive school(?) where they take tourists and locals for recreational dives through the heads and in the lagoon, they also give dive courses if needed. I wholly recommend them to anyone interested in scuba diving in Knysna. While visiting him at his shop he offered to take us out on his boat while they went for a dive. It was quite an awesome experience if not a bit frightening thanks to the weather (and the sharks circling the boat). All in all it was a great well deserved holiday for both Michelle and myself and I hope I can return to Knysna soon.
